Basic Tofu Scramble

Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) block of firm tofu, pressed and drained

  • 1 tablespoon low sodium tamari

  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • kala namak (Himalayan black salt—not necessary but gives it an eggy flavor), to taste or regular fine sea salt

  • pepper, to taste

Directions

Crumble the tofu in a bowl. Add all the ingredients and stir well to combine.

Heat a large non-stick frying pan to medium heat. Add the tofu and stir occasionally until the tofu is warmed through.
